Quitting smoking is as hard as you make it…

Jun 4, 2009 under Health

There are lots of different ways to quit smoking, but the common denominator amongst those who have succeeded was that they made it personal for themselves without relying on an outside source in a dependent fashion.

Start with looking at why you smoke, what it does for you, and what it solves for you. Yes, the smoking helps you deal with stress and anxiety, but it also adds to those things, so smoking still does not solve the issues, it just makes a very temporary relief.

If you have things you like to do, and smoking is getting in your way… make a list and keep adding to it of all the things
that smoking is keeping you away from. Just keep your mind on your general health and realize that the only way to take care of the issues that are important is to be in enough good health in order to be able to do so.. .

Our attitudes will reflect why we smoke more than anything else… excuses don’t stand up to reason when we look at our behavior carefully. In the end a lifestyle change that’s lasting and permanent is in order, and sharply. If you want
the benefits of not smoking, the only way to get them is to not smoke, they come automatically but only after you quit.
