Tacori is a family owned jewelry design company known around the world for its platinum and diamond wedding and engagement rings, as well as other gold and silver jewelry collections.
Since the very first craftsmen made rings and jewelry from metals other than gold and used diamonds in wedding and engagement rings, lovers have searched to find the one perfect ring to give to their beloved on their wedding day. The Tacori company motto is ‘The perfect ring for that special day’ and to that end they offer over 35,000 different wedding and engagement ring sets.
The company was started in California in 1970 by Haig Tacorian and his wife after they relocated to the US from Romania and employs mostly family members. Custom designed Tacori jewelery is sold in the United States and Canada alongside other renowned collections such as Hearts on Fire, Ritani and John Hardy at high end jewelry stores as well as Neiman Marcus and CD Peacock.
The company is mainly known for its wedding and engagement ring sets that often use vintage designs, though they have recently started creating other gold and silver jewelry–specifically for their Tacori 18k925 Collection. The name refers to the use of 18k gold and 925 silver to create the jewelry pieces, which retail for between $400 and $3000.
Tacori engagement rings have been seen on television in shows like as Friends and The Bachelorette and this has served to spread the word about the companies fine jewelry collections. While this has brought more sales and prestige to the company, it has also caused problems because other jewelry makers are starting to try to imitate Tacori designs without their permission. In 2009 Tacori brought suit against a California based company for making and selling rings that were very similar to Tacori designs.
