Like we take care of our cars by continuously looking for the best auto insurance quotes, we should also take care of our own body especially our feet. Because without them, we won’t be able to function well.

The top three skin-related foot complaints are calluses, corns and blisters. A corn is a small, kernel-shaped growth on top of the foot or between toes. Like a callus, it results when friction causes dead skin to build up to protect the underlying bone or tissue. Both can be buffed gently with a foot file.

If the corn has a “root,” it may need to be professionally removed. A blister is a fluid-filled sack that forms under the skin, also as a result of friction. To treat, first wash the foot with an antibacterial soap, then pierce the blister with a sterilized needle to drain (never “deroof” a blister as it could become infected). Finish by swabbing with peroxide, applying an antibacterial solution and bandaging.
